Best View of Tokyo

Odaiba is a great place to go for a view of the Rainbow Bridge and beyond. For a bird's-eye view, I think the award goes to Tokyo Skytree!! Even though it's more expensive, the view is way more impressive. If you don't feel like lining up for too long, the others are good alternatives as well.

One way to skip the line is to make a reservation at Sky Restaurant 634 (Musashi), up to a month beforehand. You must pay the 2060 yen admission for Skytree’s Tembo Deck to eat there, but the restaurant will get the tickets for you and you pay for it together with your meal – this allows you to skip the line for the elevator since there’re usually lots of people lining up to go up Skytree. You’re free to walk around Skytree’s 350m Tembo Deck before and after your meal. The restaurant is quite small but the view is really nice of course. We were seated right by the window and could see Mount Fuji in the distance and Sensoji Temple right below. The appetizers looked beautiful but tasted just average. The main course and dessert were both very good. They wrote a birthday message on the dessert at no extra charge.

To see Skytree up-close, check out Sky Lounge Top Of Tree, which offers incredible night view and great food! We were seated by the window directly in front of Skytree - It was amazing watching Skytree up close all lit up, changing colors as well as the elevators shooting up and down super fast. “Top Dinner” included lots of appetizers that came on a mini Skytree that also gradually changed colors! One of us doesn’t eat seafood and made a note on the reservation site so they substituted many items for us. Everything looked fantastic and tasted great, including my fruit mojito which was pricey but very big and also good. I think if you order the more expensive set, they bring a sparkler out with your dessert. The atmosphere was very nice - I didn’t want to leave. You should go.

I would say the very best view is from the top of Mori Tower in Roppongi! No glass to block your view! Plus you can check out MORI ART MUSEUM which often has cool exhibitions, like the one below by Takashi Murakami 村上 隆, an inspiration for tokidoki!!
